#97 Vacation in Hawaii COMPLETE September 2012

Had an absolute blast in Hawaii. Dave and I spent a week touring the island. We hiked Diamond Head, went to a water fall that was used in the filming of the TV show Lost, toured Pearl Harbor, went on a Rock N Roll drinking cruise and attended two Luau's. We barely had time to sit back and relax on the beach. I will definitely be planning a second trip make up for beach time with a fruity drink in my hand.

#71 Visit a State Park COMPLETE 28 September 2012

Nothing like a refreshing hike up the side of a crater through military drilled tunnels and climbing metal steep stairs to get the blood pumping. It is all worth it when I got to the top of Diamond Head, Honolulu, Hawaii.

The view was breath taking (okay, maybe that was the climb) but it was also the view. I will do it again next time I get the chance to visit.

#4 Throw a penny in a fountain and make a wish COMPLETE 19 September 2012

After searching for years (literally) I arrive in Las Vegas to find wishing fountains everywhere. So, what better to do than conjure up a wish and toss a penny into the depths of the cool waters of the pool.

Now I just have to wait and see if my wish comes true....

#3 Play in a Texas Holdem Tournament COMPLETE 21 September 2012

While vacationing in Las Vegas I entered into a Texas Holdem Tournament at the Flamingo casino. At first a received quite a few bad hands and even bet on a few that I shouldn't have. This made some of the older gentlemen snicker and believe that I would soon be off the table. But after letting a few rounds pass by without betting I got my hand, and then another, and another. Next thing I knew those gentlemen were fewer and fewer until it was just me and two others.

Unfortunately my final hand (and most hated hand Ace deuce) brought me to an end. The man next to me beat me with an ace seven. All in all a good day though. I placed third in my first ever Vegas Texas Holdem Tournament.

#63 Go to a Drive in movie Theater COMPLETE 9 June 2012

Nothing like cramming three people into a convertible coupe on a crisp Washington summer night to go to the drive in. It actually was a lot of fun but the wind was kicking. Dave, Matt and I went to the Skyline Drive-in theatre to see Snow White and the Huntsmen and Prometheus in Dave’s new convertible.  We tried to watch with the top off but ended up getting too cold, so we put the top up and worked with the tiny backseat.  

#6 Build a cover for my patio COMPLETE 15 May 2012

 It only took a year for me to finally get a patio cover. There were many debates as to how I was going to do this. I had one company come out and do an estimate but their bid came in at 20K, a little too expensive for my taste. Then I thought about building it myself, but that seemed like a lot of work and I don't have the proper tools for the job. One fine day a man left a flyer on my door for patio covers at a great price and they would build it in one day. So, I called, they came out, gave me an estimate that I could live with, went to work one morning and when I came home from work I had a new patio cover. I LOVE IT. Sitting on the back patio is so lovely now.

#91 Get my Motorcycle License

It took all summer but I got the bumblebee fixed. She is back in perfect condition and on the road. Oh and I am licensed to it is legal now!!!!(Sorry for the secrecy and black lines, but I don't need all my information readily available on the net)
